HALLOWEEN AROUND LOUISVILLE INFORMATION

DATE: October 31, 2015

Trick-or-treating in the Louisville area is one of the holiday favorites. Especially for the kids! The Louisville area has a wide variety of areas for trick-or-treating and each area has different times that trick-or-treating is permitted. Back in the day, trick-or-treating was always on Halloween and time didn’t matter much.

However, for safety reasons counties have now started posting Official trick-or-treating days and times. Once the season approaches, we will list the OFFICIAL trick-or-treating day and times for your area below.

Trick or treating for the Louisville area will be on Halloween. It is recommended to finish trick or treating before it gets dark (about 8PM). HOWEVER, some neighborhoods have designated trick or treating nights. Make sure to pay attention to your neighborhood newsletters and etc for times specific for you. Be safe out there and have fun!

Great Places To Trick-or-Treat

There are some places in the Louisville area that are better for trick-or-treating than others. Some communities in the Louisville area make a bigger deal out of Halloween than others. These communities typically have more decorations and tend to go overboard with treats and etc. These are the Halloween trick-or-treating “hot spots” in Louisville. Kids and parents love these areas!

One of these locations is Hillcrest Avenue in between Frankfort Ave and Brownsboro Rd in Louisville. This street is by far one of the best streets we have EVER seen to visit during the Halloween season. They literally have a competition with their Halloween decorations and it is incredible to see what all they put out. Be warned though, trick-or-treating on this street is usually very busy as a result. So busy that you may have to park a block or two over. Even if you don’t want to go trick-or-treating down the street, you should at least try to drive down the street on a night during the Halloween season. It is a very cool community in the Louisville area to check out for the Halloween season. We will try to get some photos of this neighborhood and post them as the season gets closer.
